St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary school celebrated this joyous occasion filled with festive spirit and community camaraderie. The school jingled with excitement as students, teachers, and staff joined together to create memorable moments on 23rd December 2023.
The entire school was transformed into a winter wonderland with vibrant decorations. Colorful lights adorned the hallways, and classrooms were adorned with handmade embellishments and creative displays.
Teachers organized Christmas-themed activities such as greeting card and star making competitions for students fostering a sense of celebration, creativity and teamwork which enhanced the overall festive experience.
The highlight of the celebration was the enchanting performances by students of Grade 5 A. From heartwarming Christmas carols to lively dance routines, each act added to the festive galore. Tr Grace Rodrigues , the senior most teacher was the chief guest for the programme which began with a soulful prayer followed by an elegant welcome dance. Poorvi welcomed the chief guest and the gathering.
A dance drama showcased by the students unfolded the events of the birth of Christ. An energetic dance performance by the students of Grade 8 & 9 to a vibrant Christmas song uplifted the Christmas spirit.
The chief guest addressed the gathering with her elevating words and appreciated the efforts of the students for putting up a beautiful programme. She highlighted the importance of the value ‘Peace’ and invited the students to do good , spread Joy around, help the poor and needy, live in love, unity and brotherhood. She also urged students to pray for those less fortunate children who are deprived of basic means of survival. She concluded her message by wishing the students a joyous Christmas.
The Principal, Sr Lathika A.C. in her message wished the students and their families a blessed Christmas and a joyful New year 2024.
Students who won prizes in various competitions conducted in school were felicitated on this occasion.
Christmas cake was distributed to all the staff and the students. Students enjoyed the company of one another sharing sweets with their friends in the classrooms adding the harmonious cheer around.
Bhavana proposed the vote of thanks. Rolvita and Chrishma compered the programme.
The staff had a get - together at noon and reflected on the true meaning of Christmas. The Principal thanked the interns Sr Supriya and Sr Rosheria for their services at our school for the past 57 days. The staff enjoyed the revealing of Christmas friend and exchanged Christmas gifts. The family bonding strengthened by a fellowship meal hosted by the Principal .
