St Cecily’s Preparatory School came alive with vibrant energy as they celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. On 15th July 2024,the kindergarteners stole the show with a heartwarming programme honoring Mother Mary.

The celebration began with LKG students offering an angelic prayer, seeking Mother Mary’s blessings. Following this the UKG students presented an energetic action song titled “Arise and Shine.” A mesmerizing tableau depicting scenes from Mother Mary’s life showcased the talents and dedication of the UKG children.

Sr Therese Jyothi A.C., Superior , St Cecily’s convent, graced the occasion as the chief guest. She addressed the tiny tots, emphasizing the importance of the feast and comparing the children to beautiful flowers in the garden of Mount Carmel. She encouraged them to spread love and respect towards their parents and others.

The distribution of sweets marked the end of the festivities, leaving the children with joyful memories.

"Embracing Virtues: St. Cecily’s Celebrates Mt Carmel Feast"

St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School reverberated with devotion as students celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Mt Carmel on July 15th, 2024.

The entertaining event organized by the diligent students of grade 8, aimed to honor Our Lady of Mount Carmel and instill her cherished values. The celebration commenced with a solemn prayer service, setting a reverent tone, followed by a graceful prayer dance. Miss Marial Carissa Lobo of Grade 8B extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The skit enacted by students, vividly depicted the rich history and traditions of the Carmelite Order. The students then performed a play emphasizing the values embodied by Mother Mary and Her unwavering trust, purity, care, service, prayer, courage, fidelity, simplicity, patience, mercy, and her humility and obedience to God’s will. Their insights provided profound reflections for all attendees.

Adding to the spiritual ambiance, a vibrant dance performance in honor of Mother Mary enthralled the audience. Clad in white and blue, the dancers swayed gracefully to devotional songs, their performance a heartfelt tribute to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The event’s highlight was an inspiring speech by the chief guest, Miss Cecilia. She eloquently spoke on the values of Mother Mary, encouraging students to cherish and incorporate the virtues into their lives. Her words resonated deeply with everyone present.

In recognition of their achievements, Cubs and Bulbuls were honored with Zila Puraskar certificates and badges. The celebration concluded with a gracious note of gratitude delivered by Mohammed Alman.

The Carmel Feast celebration at the school was a memorable event, paying homage to Mother Mary while instilling her values in the hearts of the students. The program was skillfully anchored by Gagan Amin and Kushi P. Shetty of Grade 8.
