This heart-warming event was dedicated to honour the unique and irreplaceable bond between grandparents and grandchildren, creating a joyful and touching atmosphere.
The curtains rose to a soulful invocation by the kindergarten students, filling the auditorium with their sweet, melodious voices. This was followed by a delightful welcome dance by the tiny tots, spreading smiles all around. Principal Sr. Lathika A.C. expressed warm welcome to the grandparents, expressing the school’s immense pride in honouring them.
The chief guest of the event, Mrs Juanna Saldhana, was honoured for her selfless service to the institution. In her inspiring address, Mrs Juanna emphasized the deep connection between the two generations and encouraged grandparents to continue playing a pivotal role in their grandchildren’s lives, nurturing their growth, wisdom, and values with their love. Mrs Juanna reminded the young ones to respect, cherish, and spend quality time with their grandparents, reminding them that they are an irreplaceable source of love and guidance.
The energy in the room was palpable as the playschool students kicked off the programme with mesmerizing performances. A poignant skit enacted by UKG students depicted the precious bond between grandparents and grandchildren and kindled emotional sentiments in the audience.
The festivities continued with a series of fun games, where the enthusiastic participation of grandparents brought joy and laughter to the event. Their enthusiastic participation was a testament to their zest for life and their love for their grandchildren.
Five grandparents took to the stage, sharing their heartfelt emotions and expressing deep appreciation to the School Management for orchestrating such a memorable celebration. Their words added a layer of warmth and gratitude to the day’s festivities.
Mrs Violet D Souza proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of everyone involved in making Grandparents’ Day a success. Mrs Iona Dias , gracefully compered the programme.
